DBA & Sons has firmly established its presence across a diverse spectrum of sectors, encompassing Infrastructure, Material Handling, Oil Field Services, Quarry & Mining, Air Conditioning, and Transportation. Our commitment to excellence extends to rental solutions within these domains. Our headquarters, situated in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, serves as the heartbeat of our enterprise. This impressive edifice, meticulously crafted by Saif Bin Darwish within our Construction & Civil Engineering Division, embodies the essence of the Darwish Bin Ahmed & Sons Group.
With a legacy spanning more than half a century in the UAE, DBA has left an indelible mark on Abu Dhabi’s landscape. From iconic landmarks like the Sheikh Khalifa Bridge and the Sheikh Zayed Tunnel to the city’s bustling fleet of buses, we’ve been an integral part of the Emirate’s growth story. The Darwish Bin Ahmed family have established and expanded its business organization for over half a century, and whilst most of its business activities are undertaken in the United Arab Emirates, it does have business interests in a number of countries worldwide.

Corporate Social Responsibility
For over half a century, Darwish Bin Ahmed & Sons have retained the trust of its customers and it has never forgotten to give something back.

As part of the company’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), DBA/UMHE worked closely with the Police Force and Emergency Services and provided manpower, water pumps, bowsers, various trucks, plant and equipment required to alleviate the flooding and problems created by the severe weather and flooding in the UAE on March 2016. The company has received an award from the Police Force for this contribution.
Sustainability
We recognize the importance of effectively managing the Quality Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) factors of the business: in line with this, a suitable management system has been developed and implemented to ensure good QHSE performance for the overall success of the group.
The manual outlines the nature and scope of the management systems as directed in the ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards and in key interested party requirements. Although detailed technical information for specific activities and divisions is not included therein, the main elements of the integrated management system as well as interactions are defined, providing a suitable guide to employees (and other interested parties). The manual highlights fundamental processes to be implemented and maintained to ensure activities are conducted in a manner that:
- Protects the health and safety of employees
- Protects the environment and facilitates sustainability
- Meets all quality requirements
